What does “ski rental delivery” actually mean?

Black Tie Ski Rentals is a full-service mobile ski and snowboard shop. After taking your reservation, we pack up all your equipment and bring it to where ever you are staying. Our professional rental technicians will then fit you and your party in the comfort of your living room!

How do I make a reservation?

There are 3 easy ways to make a reservation with Black Tie Ski Rentals:
1. Online– Our state-of-the-art reservation system is both easy to use and secure. If you have rented with us in the past, it will have your information from that last trip stored!
2. Call the office directly and let one of our professional Reservation Agents walk you through the process.
3. Email – Email us and we will send you all the information we will need from you. Just fill it out and send it back.

What hours are you open?

For your added convenience we are open starting at 7:30 am and close at 9:00pm. We understand that traveling in the mountains can be difficult and unpredictable. If you are experiencing delays or need to make special arrangements, please call our office directly and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Where are you located?

We are based out of Breckenridge, Colorado.  You can have your equipment delivered anywhere in Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper, A-Basin, Frisco, Silverthorne, and Blue River!  Because we are a 100% delivery service, we are everywhere you are. We bring a full-service ski and snowboard shop to you!

Do I have to pay for delivery?

No, the delivery, custom fitting, and outstanding customer service is free!

How do you select my equipment?

Our state-of-the-art reservation system and our professionally trained techs use the information you provide to select the best possible equipment to suit your needs. If by chance the boots or skis are not fitting correctly, we carry a full back stock in our vans that are parked just right outside.

What if I have a problem with my equipment?

If the weather changes and you want new equipment for the changing conditions, or in the rare event that something happens with your equipment, we are just a phone call away.  Call our office, and we will send one of our Ski Techs to a location convenient for you, whether that be your lodging or an on-mountain base area.

What packages do you carry?

At Black Tie Ski Rentals, we carry equipment for all levels of skiers and riders. For more information check out our equipment page for more information on our ski and snowboard packages.

Individually owned and operated?

To make sure each and every guest receives the highest levels of service and personal attention, each Black Tie Ski Rentals location is locally owned and operated.  The person fitting your boots might be the owner!

Do you rent helmets?

Yes, we rent helmets for all ages and sizes. They are safe, warm, and stylish– and are available for you to request when making your reservation.

What does the Damage Waiver cover?

An optional damage waiver is available and covers damage to equipment caused by normal wear and tear incurred while skiing. It does NOT cover damage due to NEGLIGENCE, THEFT, OR LOSS. If you are skiing on our Premium/ elite / high performance package we strongly recommend selecting the damage waiver.

How many people do I need for a group?

Traditional groups start at 15 people and you should contact your desired location directly to discuss any group discounts that may be applicable.

Will I get a refund if I want to take a day off in the middle of my trip?

Renting skis is like renting a car, even if you have the skis for 4 days and you only use them for 3 you still need pay for the entire time you have your equipment.

Can I Return Equipment Early?

If you wish to return your equipment before your pre-arranged return date, you must notify Black Tie prior to 7 pm the evening before.  Equipment returned early is entitled to a refund equal to half the remaining rental amount.  Furthermore, please note that gear returned after just one or two days of renting will still be considered a three-day rental and will not be eligible for a refund.  If you are unsure of how many days you will need the gear, please make your reservation for the lower number of days.  You can always call us at 970.547.4416 to extend your reservation.

What If I have my own boots?

If you have your own boots, you can deduct $4 per day from the cost of your package. Please specify when making your reservation that you have your own boots and select a “ski only” package.

Do you tune your equipment?

All Black Tie Ski Rentals locations utilize the latest in tuning technologies to maintain our equipment. We are committed to tuning each piece of equipment as it returns to suit the prevailing conditions.
